Patient Participation Groups

NHS Stockport CCG want patient views to be at the heart of everything we do.

To help ensure that we take decisions fully informed by local opinion, we have established a Patient Panel, made up of 35 local people from across the borough who meet every three months with the Governing Body and give their views on local NHS decisions.

In addition, 47 of our 49 GP Practices have their own Patient Reference Groups, allowing patients to comment on how the practice is run and potential improvements. The groups vary from Practice to Practice – some are led by local patients and some are virtual groups, communicating by email and taking part in practice surveys.

For more information on your local PRG, contact your Practice for details.  Websites for all GP practices can be accessed by clicking here.

The CCG also works closely with Healthwatch Stockport (www.healthwatchstockport.co.uk) which brings together local individuals and community groups to have their say on healthcare.
